Who Holds the Keys to your Happiness?

Keys to Happiness

As a Healer, Psychic Medium, and Spiritual Minister, it isn’t uncommon to be contacted on a daily basis by those who are looking for some spiritual guidance in their lives. Those of us in the Holistic Profession have answered our Soul’s Call to share Divine Love and Light with those who come to us seeking advice and guidance.

Every once in awhile, there will be a challenging experience with someone seeking insight. This actually happens more during radio shows with callers than clients that have a session with me. I don’t mind these occasional challenges for I know that there is always a lesson being learned for all those involved. Let me rephrase that… there is an opportunity to learn a lesson in challenges. If someone reacts to a situation in a defensive manner, the object of the lesson is not recognized or even embraced as an opportunity for spiritual growth and development.

How does one grow spiritually? Simply by Knowing Thyself. That isn’t as simple as it seems, is it? Do you know yourself completely? Do you know your dark side AND your light side? Do you consider each of these degrees of yourself as good or bad? Or good AND bad? As a whole, complete Divine Being it is important to understand all of the degrees and polarities of ourselves.

Love, the right job and money are the top three categories that people want insight on. Recently on a radio show, a caller wanted to know when she was going to meet the right man. She does date and try to meet the ‘right one’ but hasn’t had any success. She was asked, “Why do you feel that you haven’t had success in meeting the right man?” Her reply was that all the men in her area are jerks and are looking only for a one night stand, not a relationship. Ok, sure, all of us have felt that way at one time or another. So, another question, “Why are you attracting men like that?”  Well that caused an explosion of reasons and non-stop excuses. The caller was upset that she keeps getting the advice from other healers, psychics and spiritual counselors to work on herself internally first, in order to meet the right partner. The issue can’t be because of her, she hasn’t done anything wrong.

Raise your hand if you can relate to this woman. I most certainly do as well. I was unhappy in my relationships too, and this was in all relationships, not just with a partner. It is so much easier to blame everyone else for our unhappiness. Been there, done that. Sure, you can have friends around you but do they feel the same way you do? If we blame others, we attract people in our lives that do the same thing. Like attracts Like. How we are inside, internally is what we attract outside of us, externally.

The biggest lies ever told…are the lies we tell ourselves… we are ok and fine, when the truth is that we are not ok deep inside and need to work on our internal happiness before we can see it manifest outside of ourselves.

Life isn’t all about sunshine and roses. There is rain and roses have thorns. Opposites? No! These are aspects or different degrees of Oneness. Once we create Balance within ourselves, we attract others that are continuous working on their Balance as well. Healing and Balancing is ongoing in our lives as we expand into Higher Vibrations and Dimensions.

Years ago, I wrote an article, ‘The Most Important Relationship” for the Door Opener Magazine. You can find this article on the Media page of my website.  http://www.whitesagewoman.com/Media.html

So, now, I ask you…. Who holds the Keys to your Happiness?

Homemade Shampoo with Essential Oils

Lavender flowers and jar

Today, shampoos contains chemicals like parabens, phthalates, petroleum byproducts, and SLS, which provides that satisfying foam while depositing chemicals onto your scalp.

The evidence of these chemicals is on your head. Oily hair, dandruff, itching, inflamed scalp. You may think that your shampoo is helping these conditions, but it may be the culprit initiating these troublesome symptoms in the first place.

Many who are worried about the chemicals in their beauty products have vowed to go all natural. But natural paraben- and SLS-free shampoos can be pretty costly and don’t necessarily address deep down issues causing dandruff or oily hair.

Authentic essential oils added to homemade shampoos is the solution you’ve been looking for. Homemade soaps eliminate all those harmful chemicals from your shower routine, and essential oils bring their health benefits while also making your hair smell like a field of lilacs or citrus sunrise.

Solve your hair maladies for good using these trusted all-natural shampoo recipes.

Homemade Essential Oil Shampoo Ingredients

Depending on your hair and personal preferences, you can use a variety of ingredients to make your shampoo.

Most simple recipes use liquid castile soap, like Dr. Bronner’s. This soap is organic, fair trade, and non-GMO project verified. You can get this soap in numerous scents (scented naturally using essential oils), but the basic, unscented soap will probably work best with your own essential oil mixture.

Some people choose to use castile soap alone to wash their hair, since it’s an all-in-one natural soap, but many find that it makes their hair dry and dull. Adding these other ingredients to your shampoo will help you get the results you want.

The second most important ingredient, if you choose to add to your castile soap solution, is coconut milk. Most recipes call for canned coconut milk, but others recommend homemade coconut milk if canned milk isn’t providing your desired results.

Some recipes move straight from these two main ingredients (castile soap and coconut milk) to adding essential oils. Others recommend a few other steps, especially if you have dry hair.

You can add a small amount of olive or almond oil to soothe frail, dehydrated hair. Others suggest adding honey, coconut oil and vitamin E oil for a more gentle mixture.

Here are two recipes you can follow, depending on how simple or complex you want to make your homemade shampoo with essential oils.

Simple Homemade Shampoo Recipe

  • 1/4 cup liquid castile soap
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk (homemade or canned)
  • 20 drops of essential oils
  • For dry hair add 1/2 tsp olive or almond oil (optional)
    (Recipe courtesy of Wellness Mama)

Complex Homemade Shampoo Recipe

  • 1/2 cup liquid castile soap
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk (homemade or canned)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp vitamin E oil
  • 40 to 50 drops essential oils
    (Recipe courtesy of Shalom Mama)

Essential Oil Combinations to Try

When creating your essential oil shampoo, there are a few things to remember.

Never put essential oils directly onto your scalp. Essential oils need to be diluted with a carrier oil, such as coconut, jojoba or olive oil first to protect your skin.

If you aren’t sure if you or your family members are allergic to any essential oils, test them before using them in your shampoo. Place 1 to 2 drops of diluted essential oil on the inside of your elbow and wrap the area for 24 hours. If your skin isn’t irritated, you should be fine to use that oil.

These shampoo recipes aren’t tear-free, so be sure to keep the soap out of your children’s eyes when they wash their hair. If the solution gets in someone’s eyes, rinse them with cool water for 15 minutes. If irritation still occurs, see a doctor.

Essential oils have many uses, from simply smelling delicious, to relaxation, to fortifying damaged, dry hair. Feel free to experiment with scent mixtures to find your favorite combinations. And remember, less is more when it comes to powerful oils. Be conservative with the amount of drops you use at first and add more later if the solution isn’t strong enough for you.

Some popular essential oils and their uses for shampoos include:

Chamomile: Use for fine to normal hair. Chamomile gives golden highlights and sheen to your hair, conditions, soothes inflamed scalps, and helps scaly scalps.

Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is an antiseptic and can be used for dandruff treatment.

Lavender: Good for all hair types, it helps balance natural scalp oils, soothes the scalp and calms hair, promotes hair growth, and can be used to treat itchiness and dandruff.

Lemon: Use for oily hair and treatment for dry scalp and dandruff. Gives golden highlights and helps balance your scalp’s natural oils.

Lemongrass: Helps oily hair by slowing down scalp oil production.

Peppermint: Use with dry hair. Peppermint promotes growth by stimulating circulation.

Rosemary: Good for oily hair, dandruff treatment, and promoting hair growth.

Tea Tree: Can be used to treat a dry scalp, dandruff, and lice. Good for oily hair.

Thyme: Thyme is antiseptic, stimulates blood flow, and invigorates the scalp to help with hair loss.

Ylang Ylang: For oily hair, dandruff treatment, and stimulating hair growth. Oil is soothing and antiseptic.

Conclusion

Your scalp will need a few weeks to adjust to your natural shampoo. It’s important to be patient as the natural oils are redeposited onto your scalp and your hair soaks up all the healthy ingredients you are now feeding your locks.

Your natural essential oil shampoo will allow you to wash your hair less. And once you see the shine and vitality that your hair will get from all-natural soap, you’ll never use grocery store shampoo again!

Healthy Home, Healthy You

Here is my article that I read on my last show. If you missed my last show, here is the link:  http://www.blogtalkradio.com/goldylocksproductions/2016/02/10/spiritual-insight Enjoy ~ Rev.Tiffany White Sage Woman

Healthy Home, Healthy You

Ever since I can remember, even as a young child, I enjoyed cleaning. It was important for me to have the room I was cleaning feel good. Every morning I would get up and make my bed and put my 30 plus stuffed animals on my bed. Each stuffed animal had a specific spot on the bed, and I could tell if anyone moved one. It was important to me to at least keep my room, my sacred space clean, physically and energetically.

It wasn’t until the 90’s where I read about feng shui and really resonated with it. This works hand in hand with healing the whole person…. Wholistic….mind, body and soul. Not just the whole person, but the whole being, including every being. Feng shui is all about living in harmony with Nature and the elements.

Currently I work from home and love it. I can take care of the hearth, the sacred hearth. I believe that someone in a household, whether it is a woman or man be in charge of or take the lead with the healing energies of the sacred space we call home. Even if you are single or a single parent, you can still achieve this. Our homes need to be cleansed and healthy as it is where our bodies reside. Who is the Healer in your home? Is there more than one Healer in your home?

We instinctively know when our space needs help. Spring is not the only season or time of de-cluttering, repainting, and cleaning, inside and out. I feel the urge to de-clutter and deep clean every three months. Notice how much better you feel afterwards, energetically. Physically, you may be tired from all the work. But doesn’t the air feel lighter? That is because you stirred up the chi or life force of the house by de-cluttering and cleaning. Any energy that was blocked or stuck can now move freely around the whole home.

My husband thinks that I am a control freak when it comes to cleaning. I prefer to do it to make sure it is done properly. Does sound controlling, doesn’t it? Actually, I am more of a command freak. When I clean, I command/send out healing, deep into the earth, high into the sky, and out in all directions. So, yes, I am careful and cautious in how the home is cleaned and who cleans it.

I couldn’t have housekeepers or outside cleaning agencies come into my home to clean. Sure, the house may be clean, but the energy will not be comfortable. Whatever mood the person or people are in when they clean…will energetically be left here…even when they are long gone. I have been in homes that are spotless, have fine furnishings and should be featured in Better Homes and Gardens. Yet the energy is either cold or uncomfortable and uninviting making you want to run out the door and leave.

A healthy home helps the body to be healthy too. It is all part of healing. You can have a healthy person move into an unhealthy home and surrounding property and without cleansing of the house and land, eventually the healthy person will be sick too. This is also the case in work spaces. Especially if you are there at work, a lot.

Listen to some of the comments made by those we sense that something is wrong or ‘off’… “I swear this house (or work space/building) is making me sick; My house may be haunted…that has to be the reason I am suddenly ill.”

About 90% of the homes that claim to be haunted are simply responses to the energies that reside there. And due to the fact that everyone has Angels, Guides, Loved Ones and Nature that try to communicate with us….all of our homes then could be considered haunted. I prefer that we all are Blessed instead. Just as meditation is healing for our bodies, feng shui and space cleansing is healing for our dwellings, the land and even our community.

We live in a society where there is so much blame going on. We all must take responsibility and ownership for our thoughts, our actions, our reactions and responses, and responsibility in our Healing. As we Heal within ourselves…we Heal without (outside of) ourselves. Since we are all connected…that means Healing on a global and Universal scale. Now that is one powerful Community Clean Up!

Below is the Energy Flow Cycle utilized in Feng Shui.

The Productive or Nourishing Cycle: WATER nurtures WOOD feeds FIRE makes EARTH creates METAL holds WATER.

The Exhaustive or Overcoming Cycle: WOOD consumes EARTH dams WATER extinguishes FIRE melts METAL cuts WOOD.

Note: Using the 4 directions and 5 elements… Earth is located in the center of the home/office. So, the flow would be North (Water), East (Wood), South (Fire), Center (Earth) and West (Metal)

The Meaning of Your Crystal Cracking or Breaking

Broken Quartz Wand

Sometimes a stone or crystal just suddenly breaks. It can upset you especially when it is one of your most favorite pieces. Let’s look at the energy aspect of what has happened.

Think of it as the singer and wine glass shattering scenario. What causes that to happen? The frequencies of the wine glass were perfectly pitched or perfectly oscillated with the sound frequency of the note that the singer was holding. This created a third resonant field of greater energy and that cracks the wine glass.

For you science buffs: In physics, resonance is the tendency of a system to oscillate with greater amplitude at some frequencies than at others. Frequencies at which the response amplitude is a relative maximum are known as the system’s resonant frequencies, or resonance frequencies. At these frequencies, even small periodic driving forces can produce large amplitude oscillations, because the system stores vibrational energy. Resonance occurs when a system is able to store and easily transfer energy between two or more different storage modes (such as kinetic energy and potential energy in the case of a pendulum).

One familiar example is a playground swing, which acts as a pendulum. Pushing a person in a swing in time with the natural interval of the swing (its resonant frequency) will make the swing go higher and higher (maximum amplitude), while attempts to push the swing at a faster or slower tempo will result in smaller arcs. This is because the energy the swing absorbs is maximized when the pushes are “in phase” with the swing’s natural oscillations, while some of the swing’s energy is actually extracted by the opposing force of the pushes when they are not.

Resonance occurs widely in nature, and is exploited in many man made devices. It is the mechanism by which virtually all sinusoidal waves and vibrations are generated. Many sounds we hear, such as when hard objects of metal, glass, or wood are struck, are caused by brief resonant vibrations in the object. Light and other short wavelength electromagnetic radiation is produced by resonance on an atomic scale, such as electrons in atoms.

Other examples are:

  • Timekeeping mechanisms of modern clocks and watches, e.g., the balance wheel in a mechanical watch and the quartz crystal in a quartz watch
  • Tidal resonance of the Bay of Fundy
  • Acoustic resonances of musical instruments and human vocal cords
  • Shattering of a crystal wineglass when exposed to a musical tone of the right pitch (its resonant frequency)
  • Electrical resonance of tuned circuits in radios and TVs that allow radio frequencies to be selectively received
  • Creation of coherent light by optical resonance in a laser cavity
  • Orbital resonance as exemplified by some moons of the solar system’s gas giants
  • Material resonances in atomic scale are the basis of several spectroscopic techniques that are used in condensed matter physics
  • Electron spin resonance
  • Mössbauer effect
  • Nuclear magnetic resonance

The same scenario may be taking place when our crystal cracks. The vibrational frequency of the crystal may be synchronizing with a frequency in its environment which causes the crystal to crack and/or break.

Keep in mind…crystals do not die or stop working just because they’ve cracked or broken. Please continue to work with them. They are still there for you. Now, the intense energy that caused the stone or crystal to crack, whether a physical impact or energetic impact was intense (especially if we’re talking about a quartz crystal), and that may have temporarily altered the crystal’s normal vibrational frequency.

It isn’t just your personal energy that caused the crystal to break or crack. Pay attention to where you were when the crystal cracked or broke. Just as we can feel and absorb other people’s energies, so do the crystal and gemstones we may have on our body or near us.

You will want to give that crystal some time away from your close energy contact. Especially if you carried the crystal in your pocket, wore it as jewelry or had it anywhere else on your body. Give the crystal a nice cleansing. After about 6 weeks, it should be ready to close to you again.

How do you cleanse the crystal? Thank the crystal for working with you. Then since there was a high amplitude energy that caused it to crack, you can do a good crystal re-tuning by burying it in Mother Earth. You can bury it in an indoor potted plant or bury it outside. If you bury it outside, be sure to mark the spot well so you can find it again!

What if this happens more than once with a particular crystal? Well, in that case, its work with you may be done. Perhaps this is a sign to gift this piece on to whoever needs it more than you. The crystal’s work isn’t completed…. perhaps it just needs to move on to someone else.

Feng Shui Tip: Shape of your Property

Feng Shui Land Shape

According to Feng Shui principles, the shape of the land you live is very important. Regular shaped land plots like square and rectangles are the best, as all other shapes create “missing corners” of luck. Triangle-shaped land in particular is most inauspicious as the triangle represents the element of fire! No one wants a property located on strong fire energy that may burn up your luck! When considering the purchase of any property don’t just look at the house itself, but also consider the shape of the plot of land.

If your plot of land has missing segments, don’t despair. You can fix these segments and bring fortune to your life using:
* Flowers planted on the property in colors that correspond with the missing segment
* Lights that shine to “complete” that area of the property
* Trees
* Water elements such as a fountain or pond

Need help with land selection for a new home or business? During a Feng Shui consultation for land selection, I will consider all the Feng Shui factors of a property to help you find a place where your home or business will thrive for years to come.
