Christopher Vane co-founded Little Bear Sanctuary, a nonprofit farm animal sanctuary in Punta Gorda, FL, in honor of his late mother Ursula (which translates to “little bear” in Latin). They shared a common passion for animals and Ursula often dreamed of providing neglected, once-abused animals a safe haven.
While originally from New York, Chris surprisingly started off with a career in human healthcare, eventually landing in Florida working as a real estate broker. When he met Randy, everything changed…for the better, that is! Their relationship sparked a new passion to live each day with purpose. After they got married, their desire to provide a better world for farm animals was greatly amplified. Together, Chris and Randy followed through on Ursula’s dream and established the Little Bear Sanctuary in 2017. Now, 160+ rescued farm animals call Little Bear Sanctuary home, and – thanks to Christopher’s compassion and dedication – each animal has been given an opportunity to experience love and freedom.
Little Bear Sanctuary provides a permanent home for farm animals that have been abandoned or can no longer be cared for by the owner in order to allow them to live out the remainder of their lives in a cruelty free environment. We are committed not only to a vegan lifestyle but the much needed education of pigs as pets. Our animals are never kept in cages or pens and are free to roam in their natural habitat.

Special Guest: Bianca Zvore Morris
Bianca was born in the 70’s in beautiful, green Slovenia to Croatian immigrants. Growing up she loved the natural beauty of her native Slovenia but also lived and adventured in Oxford, Amsterdam and Melbourne. As an adult, she has lived and worked for 14 years in Manhattan, 9 years in Düsseldorf, and has now settled in beautiful Barcelona with her husband and 2 rescued dogs.
After becoming an architectural engineer at the University of Ljubljana and earning her MFA in Computer Arts at SVA in NYC, she left her career in the intense NYC advertising world in 2010 to launch a labor of love: a low profit, ethical healthy mini clothing brand BeeZee EcoLand, a project more in tune with her values of sustainability, human and animal rights and wellness.
Upon her mother being diagnosed in 2015 with 3rd stage colon and ovarian cancer, she further evolved her mission to focusing on natural healing, building on passions she held since a very young age (macrobiotics, the Gerson Clinic, Dr. Robert Morse ISOD school, Dr. Sebi, Arnold Ehret, vegan nutrition Cornell University…). Having been created vegetarian (her mother primarily ate bananas while pregnant), being vegan almost 29 years and now enjoying the high fruit lifestyle for the last 4 years, this work is a true passion and is even closer to her core values, and her focus is on helping others change their lifestyle to achieve optimum health, now under the name OrangeHealia.
