The Libra New Moon graces the sky on October 16th at 3:30 pm ET and it is a deep one, as the energy of this particular New Moon may feel dense. In general, New Moons are medicines of darkness. They are a time to reflect, check-in, and consider what we want to put our energy and attention towards.
Libra energy is often associated with the light-heartedness of storytelling, harmony, and has a social quality to it. While this may be true, this particular new moon is taking us into the deeper aspects of Libra energy, which asks us to better understand ourselves by going towards the places inside that scare us. We may also experience lethargy and fatigue, as well as heightened emotions of sadness, anger, and frustration. Both ourselves and those we love may have a harder time emotionally over the next week. The good news is, this moon isn’t asking us to change or fix anything, it simply wants us to practice being in the seat of the witness.
This Libra New Moon is asking us to consider:
What am I afraid of?
Where am I trying to force outcome in my life?
Where am I gripping on to power and control?
Where am I feeling Resistance?
Resistance is often the sign that change is happening or wants to happen. Whether we allow change into our life or its current sweeps us off our feet, change can sometimes feel uncomfortable.
If you feel that you have hit a wall of resistance, know that this is not the time to give up or quit. This is a powerful moment that is asking you to to grow and expand energetically.
Breathe, relax and remain centered. Allow yourself to expand into possibility, even if there are a few growing pains along the way. This is exactly where your personal and spiritual practices play a vital role in supporting you.
